C2CA (Concrete to Cement & Aggregates) Technology is a partnership between GBN Group and TU Delft that emerged in 2016 as a spin-off from a European research project.

Our mission is to create a completely closed concrete loop in which 100% of end-of-life (EOL) concrete is recycled into high quality circular raw materials.

Concrete recycling is necessary because concrete has a huge impact on the environment. Concrete is the most widely-used raw material in the world thanks to its relatively low cost and good technical properties. But concrete accounts for 8% of total global CO₂ emissions, the bulk of which is related to the production of cement.  In Europe alone, more than 300 million tons of construction and demolition waste is produced every year and 80% of that is rubble. This will only increase in years to come as many post-war buildings reach the end of their useful life.  

By developing our concrete recycling technology, we are helping to reduce both the overconsumption of natural, primary raw materials and CO₂ emissions.
