C2CA Finalizes Seed Round

Delft, NL  C2CA Finalizes Seed Round Funding

TU Delft and innovative Dutch recycling company GBN, have finalized negotiations for Seed Round funding for concrete recycling start-up C2CA Technology with Chrysalix Venture Capital.

Founded in 2016 at TU Delft, C2CA is developing a low-cost and scalable solution for concrete recycling that creates high-quality materials for new concrete, thereby enabling substitution of cement, sand and gravel to efficiently decarbonize the cement & concrete industry. After water, cement/concrete are the most consumed material on the planet.  Responsible for 7-8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the cement and concrete industry are one of the most difficult industries to decarbonize.  Recycling (and upcycling!) end-of-life concrete (EOLC) is a key strategy to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

Chrysalix, a global venture capital firm with offices in Delft and Vancouver, has a 20-year track record of investing in cleantech, the energy transition and decarbonization, and is perfectly positioned to help build a commercial team to bring C2CA technologies to market.

The search for a CEO is underway.  Details to follow in the coming months.
